Our team has developed a new natural material we're really excited about... "Amaizing Wool". Using chemical-free wool, we're able to thermally bond our batting with plant-based PLA (cornstarch), more commonly known as Ingeo(tm). The manufacturing process is environmentally-friendly and offers extreme durability and loft, the fibers are derived from renewable resources (fleece and corn), and the final product is breathable, moisture regulating, comfortable and all-natural. We're moving and growing! Our new "eco" location is under construction and we anticipate moving during the summer of 2008. We're really excited about our new facility: It's larger and we'll have the opportunity to stock more raw materials and offer more innovative organic comfort solutions. We'll be adding a few options for a "do-it-yourself" DIY organic mattress, for folks who prefer a more economy-model organic mattress. A very exciting feature of our new location is the green energy we'll be implementing. Already installed with Geothermal HVAC, the next phase is solar panels and wind turbines to power our lights, computers and machinery! Of course, just like our existing location, the current build-out and remodeling includes non-toxic paints, natural flooring, CF bulbs etc -- that goes without saying. Our new facility will be very museum-like with the ability to watch production utilizing green-power. Our new company, Go Solar Man, will be next door to offer the consultation and services of alternative energy... something we did ten years ago and we decided it was time to get back into this arena once again, especially since our new location will feature a live demo in-the-works.
